The American Conservative Union (ACU) has named Stephen Moore the next “Conservative in the Spotlight,” a distinction awarded to a conservative leader who acts boldly to defend conservative principles.

“Stephen Moore has long been in the fight as an economic analyst and writer, fighting for lower taxes, reducing the role of government, and promoting free market principles,” said ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp.  “Stephen has long championed the flat tax and dynamic scoring, two important pro-growth policies.”

In 2015 Moore along with scholars Larry Kudlow, Arthur Laffer and Steve Forbes, started the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, an organization dedicated to teaching political and business leaders about policies that promote growth and jobs.  In its first year the  Committee briefed and advised nearly all the major Republican presidential candidates on taxes, trade, regulatory, monetary and energy policy. The Committee will do the same with other political candidates in 2017 and beyond.
