Oh to be a member of Club Fed. We are talking of the high salaries that are paid to government employees compared to private workers in the same occupations. In some cases government workers are getting wages, salaries, and benefits 50% higher than their private counterparts. And this doesn’t even include the value of near lifetime tenure by working for government. Since private workers have to work and pay taxes to pay for the government workers, we’re not sure why these discrepancies are fair or justified.
