If at first, you don’t succeed, try, try again. That’s the Congressional Democrats’ motto.
The AP reported last month that in addition to massive investigations, “impeachment is an option.”
Probably the first option.
Our Congressional spies tell us that the Democrats will indeed want to evict Trump from office if they win majorities in Congress in the midterm elections.
They even are strategizing about how they can change the rules to make impeachment easier.
There have been only four presidential impeachments in the 250 year history of the country, or five if we count the one Nixon resigned to avoid. The first was of Andrew Johnson in the 1860s – an effort that failed by one vote. Then there was Nixon. Then Clinton. And then the Democrats’ two failed impeachments of Donald Trump – remember the Ukraine phone call hoax?
One scheme Democrats may consider is to make the impeachment vote a “secret” ballot. The House would adopt articles of impeachment by hidden votes and the Senate would vote without the names of the yays and nays made public.
So much for democracy and accountability.

How’s this for hypocrisy: near the top of the Democrats’ policy agenda is the union-written Pro Act which would END secret ballot protections for unionization elections.
Trump Derangement Syndrome makes politicians do crazy things.
