Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn’t at all concerned about the crime wave sweeping through our inner-cities and terrorizing minority-owned businesses.
Last year, she shrugged off the violent crimes that accompanied protests in New York City by claiming people “are scared to pay their rent” and “feel like they need to shoplift some bread.”
AOC on increased NYC crime: "Maybe this has to do with the fact that people aren't paying their rent & are scared to pay their rent & so they go out & they need to feed their child & they don't have money so… they feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry." pic.twitter.com/oHSTWWJZ6a

Now AOC has infuriated law enforcement officials and store owners with her ludicrous statements casting doubt on whether the smash-and-grab looting by flash mobs that’s been captured on video in several cities is actually occurring.
“A lot of these allegations of organized retail theft are not actually panning out,” Ocasio-Cortez told the Washington Times last week.
“I believe it’s a Walgreens in California cited it, but the data didn’t back it up.”
How can someone so woke be so fast asleep to reality? It’s more evidence that the left’s latest solution to crime is pretend it isn’t happening.
