BBB May Be Down For The Count – At Least For This Year

Our Senate sources are telling us that the Govzilla bill is stalling out in the senate – at least in its current formulation. Now even Jon Tester of Montana – a liberal in a conservative state – has joined Joe Manchin in expressing reservations.

Politico also reports that “Senate Democrats are beginning to voice open skepticism about voting on the Build Back Better Act by Christmas.” Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, who faces the voters in 2022, isn’t happy at being rushed: “It’s always more important to get it right than to get it done according to some arbitrary schedule.”

Given the increasingly abysmal inflation numbers, we think voters are telling their senators that voting for $3 trillion more debt spending are committing political suicide.
