Bye Bye to Britain’s Keir Starmer

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is resigning his office a mere two years after his party won a landslide 63% of seats in parliament.

Starmer is leaving because his policies and the results were disastrous.

He retreated on proposed spending cuts after unions objected, raised taxes to their highest level since World War Two, and hiked the national debt to 94% of GDP – up from 83% before COVID. Capital flight soon accelerated as rich Britons moved to Milan or Monaco or Dubai to avoid sky-high inheritance taxes, as we mentioned on these pages.

Years of bad ideas have increasingly bad consequences. The average Brit today is poorer today than even a resident of Mississippi – our poorest state.

The only hope on the British horizon is our friend Nigel Farage and his Reform Party.  But elections could be a couple of long years away. The Brits have strayed a long way from the freedom and prosperity policies of Margaret Thatcher – and they’ve paid a high price for it.
