Cali-fraud-nia

What a scandal and an embarrassment to the Golden State:

Nearly a week after the primary election, results aren’t in thanks to the state’s “slow count.”

In the Los Angeles mayor race Spencer Pratt has fallen behind Nithya Raman as the Left continue to find new ballots to count. If this holds, the November runoff for mayor will be between incumbent Karen Bass, who praised Fidel Castro upon his death in 2016,  and Raman, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. Pick your poison.

Apologists for California’s snail-vote system say progressive candidates frequently gain ground in late returns because their supporters mail their ballots in late. Yes, ballot harvesting takes longer. Karen Bass didn’t take the lead in her 2024 victory until a week after Election Day. But that just shows the system is broken and fueling growing public skepticism. That is a big reason a statewide citizen initiative to finally require voter ID has qualified for November’s ballot.

California’s election process and mail-in-balloting is a banana republic sham:

  • A voter can return a ballot in any county in California, no matter which county that voter is registered in.
  • California legalized ballot harvesting – which allows anyone (not just family) to collect and deliver a limitless number of mail-in ballots – an open invitation to fraud or coercion.
  • The state mails ballots to every registered voter, 23.2 million of them. Ballots received by officials up to seven days (!) after Election Day are counted.
  • The Postal Service often now doesn’t postmark first-class mail, but If a ballot is received without a postmark after the election it’s counted if the voter has handwritten the date on the envelope.

We thought Californians were supposed to be smart.
