Robert Bryce, one of our “go-to” experts on energy issues, has created a database that tallies up the number of communities that have rejected solar and other “green” energy projects.
His latest findings: Solar Rejections Hit Record in 2025, Global Rejection Tally Hits 1,122.
“2025 is already a record year for solar rejections around the globe. As can be seen in the Renewable Rejection Database, there have already been 117 rejections or restrictions of solar energy projects around the world this year. That tally exceeds the 114 rejections that were recorded in all of 2024. Overall, the tally of rejections now stands at 1,122. The British Isles remain an epicenter of the backlash against wind, solar, and battery projects.”
We never could understand why ugly wind turbines and acres of solar panels were considered “green.” They aren’t just eyesores. They are industrializing the wilderness of America and other nations. No wonder people are screaming: “Not in my backyard.”
