We’ve been predicting that Wall Street may move to Dallas, and now it appears the tech industry is migrating to the Lone Star State too. So long Silicon Valley?
Google just announced a $40 billion commitment through 2027 to build three new cloud and AI campuses in the Lone Star State.
This comes on the heels of announcements of new Google investments totaling:
-
-
- $4 billion in Arkansas
- $7 billion in Iowa
- $9 billion in Oklahoma
- $9 billion in South Carolina
- $9 billion in Virginia
-
We can’t help but notice these are all low-tax, right-to-work states. The company has not announced any comparable investment in its home state of California.
