We’re economists not sociologists, but the numbers in this poll are disturbing.

Even if this 2025 poll is close to accurate, it tells you a lot about the political and social divide in America today, especially among millennials and GenZ cohorts. Bottom line: liberal women are three times more likely to blame men for their problems than are conservative women.

We also know that liberal women are much more likely to be unmarried than conservative women – although which causes which isn’t clear.

The women who work for and with us at UP say they like men. Phew!

We’d love to hear insights on this from the tens of thousands of women who read the HOTLINE.

But man-hating is clearly on the rise among the younger generations and this doesn’t bode well for solving our low marriage and birth-rate crises.
