When it was announced officially yesterday that Elon Musk is the new owner of Twitter, Musk released this statement:

Who could object to that agenda? About half the political spectrum, actually.
Including, amazingly, the American Civil Liberties Union, a group which once upon a time in a far off galaxy, was a vigilant guardian of free speech.
We wish Mr. Musk the best of luck with his ambition to create an open and honest social media platform that advances civilized and informed conversation/debate. It’s disheartening to say the least that the progressives on the left are so afraid of that.
