Only Half of Americans Have a “Very Favorable” Opinion of the Father of Our Country

We don’t like to depress readers a few weeks before Christmas, but this story is almost nauseating.

A Rasmussen Reports poll has found that 40% of Democrats SUPPORT a proposal in New York City that would tear down statues of America’s first president.

And while 82% of U.S. voters have a favorable impression of George Washington, only 49% have a “Very Favorable” view of the Virginian who led the Continental Army to victory in the Revolutionary War and served as arguably our greatest president.

To think that Washington wasn’t a great president is like saying, that Babe Ruth was only a pretty good baseball player.

These attitudes are a natural byproduct of years of intellectual rot and anti-America indoctrination in our schools. Sad. Pathetic. And, yet, we let it continue day after day, and year after year.
