Here’s a new twisted logic from the Democrat Socialists. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson told a group of city business leaders:

“Every time they give a corporation a tax cut and refuse to ask a rich person to pay their fair share, they are causing and increasing crime.”

This is a laughable and delusional statement because if high taxes deterred crime than Chicago, which already has amongst the highest taxes in the country, would have a LOW crime rate. Instead, in recent years it has become one of the notorious murder capitals of the country.

Ironically, here were the two top headlines of the day in Chicago when Johnson spoke.

The Mayor lectured “austerity-minded” business leaders who “put corporate profit margins over preserving the lives of my neighbors.” Um, Mayor, if there aren’t profit margins then there aren’t businesses, and if there aren’t businesses, there aren’t jobs for your “neighbors.”

You’d think even someone who has worked his whole life as a union organizer would get this.
