Here’s a wonderful Casablanca-esque “I’m shocked! Shocked to find that gambling is going on in here” media bias moment.

In a New York Times interview, Scott Pelley, the recently fired CBS 60 Minutes anchor, reveals that Bari Weiss, the new Editor in Chief of CBS News, asked 60 Minutes staffers:  “Why do you think the country thinks you’re biased?”

“She didn’t offer any kind of a metric,” Pelley complained to his boss Weiss: “What’s your metric? Do you have a poll? Is there market research? What are you talking about? Because we certainly didn’t believe that [we are biased].”

What’s the old saying? Denial isn’t just a River in Egypt.
