This is starting to become a disturbing pattern. Last year, a handful of House Republicans conspired with all the House Democrats by signing a discharge petition to turn the floor over to Hakeem Jeffries and his effort to extend COVID-emergency supersized Obamacare subsidies.
Today this subversive tactic will be employed again to give power to the Democrats/union bosses, this time to enact a bill that would authorize the government to impose union contracts on private employers.
This so-called Faster Labor Contracts Act is ripped right from the pages of the so-called PRO Act forced unionism bill, and would give employers just four months to negotiate before union contracts are effectively turned over to government arbitrators, whose decisions are binding and final. This gives big labor enormous negotiating power over employers.
If squishy Republicans vote for this violation of employer and nonunion worker rights and it passes, we hope President Trump will have his veto pen handy if needed.
