It’s the one issue in Washington that Republicans and Democrats both hate. And it’s the one issue that voters in both parties overwhelmingly support: term limits on Congress.
Good news: Last week the Arizona legislature approved a resolution calling for an Article V convention to propose term limits on Congress. Arizona marks the 14th state to pass this resolution with a goal of approval by 34 states to trigger the convention. Eight of those states have adopted the resolution in the last few years. That’s called big MO.
Howie Rich, who runs U.S. Term Limits, notes: “Arizona brings us closer to a Congress where the governed and the governors are once again one and the same. This means a consistent influx of fresh faces–teachers, doctors, and small business owners–who bring practical real-world experience to Congress.”
Amen to that.
