It wasn’t just Joe Biden who boneheadly blocked the Spirit – JetBlue merger. Another villain in this scandal is Pete Buttigieg, whose only two qualifications to be Transportation Secretary were 1) he claimed to ride his bike to work; and 2) he is gay. (Remember he took a few months off in the middle of his stint at DOT for paternity leave.)

Pete was the guy who pulled the plug on the merger, thus killing thousands of blue collar jobs and costing JetBlue and Spirit shareholders potentially billions of dollars. He claimed that a merger between two companies that would constitute 9% of the market would be an evil monopoly.
