Data centers are the ignition switch for America’s tech future, but almost overnight they became toxic this year, thanks to the ferocious opposition from MAGA Republicans and Bernie Sanders socialists.
Governors in even ruby red states like Florida and Texas have joined New York’s Kathy Hochul in calling for temporary (hopefully) time outs on new facilities in their states.
Fortunately, President Trump is all in on data centers as a critical high tech infrastructure to retain America’s tech dominance.
Now Democratic Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is echoing Trump’s pro-data center advocacy:
Many Americans don’t even know where data centers are or even WHAT they are. Most New Yorkers aren’t aware that despite Hochul’s hard line stance against data centers, the Empire State already has dozens of them.
Maybe if New York called these facilities Computer Day Care Centers all the opposition would disappear.
