WOW! The Father of the Flat Tax Wins a Nobel Prize

We never thought we’d see the day. But one of the primary architects of the 19% simple post card flat tax, Robert Hall of Stanford, was a co-winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics.

The Nobel Committee awarded the prize for Hall’s work on macroeconomics, but his real lasting contribution to economics was showing the efficiency gains from the low rate simple flat tax – which amazingly the Committee didn’t mention.

Congrats to our friend Robert Hall. But the award really should have been shared with our UP co-founders Arthur Laffer and Steve Forbes who popularized this idea and spread the word around the world!
