This week, the Supreme Court rejected the Trump administration’s attempt to force states to use a new system to improve the security of mail-in ballots in the midterm elections. Ballot envelopes would have had to include a tracking bar – similar to the ones Amazon uses to deliver packages – to prevent ballot tampering.

The Left’s “snailfare” tactic was clear. Gum up the courts with complicated lawsuits in lower courts, who then delay rulings while imposing injunctions blocking implementation of the rule.  Then the same judges declare there is insufficient time for the states to comply with U.S Postal Service rule changes for mail-in ballots. By the time the Supreme Court could weigh in, the clock had run out. It’s the equivalent of the four corners stall ball tactic in basketball.

So the 2026 midterm elections will be conducted under business-as-usual rules, which means invitations for mail ballot fraud again.

Republicans better learn from this scheme and start the process all over again next year, in plenty of time for the 2028 election.
