This may be the biggest – or at least the most infuriating – news story of the year.

Conservative reporters working outside of the major media organizations keep discovering massive fraud, incompetence, and outright criminal syndicate activity in federal welfare programs.  It’s endemic. The culprits are sleazy bastards who are stealing tens of billions from taxpayers. It’s been going on for years.

It may be the greatest heist of all time.

This is the latest revelation:

Almost none of the big fraud stories like the sham Somali day care centers in Minnesota have been broken by the New York Times, CNN, 60 Minutes, the LA Times, or even the government’s auditors. The supposed media watchdogs are nowhere to be found.

The big stories of fraud in government programs are now uncovered by bloodhound investigators on the right. Why? Because when it comes to the traditional media, Jack Nicholson said it best: “You can’t handle the truth!”
