We got some pushback from our assertion earlier this week that after the Trump tax cut, the share of taxes paid by the rich went UP.

So for all the doubting Thomases out there, here are the numbers according to the House Ways and Means Committee, which has oversight of federal tax policy. These two charts show that the tax cuts were larger for lower income groups.
