| 1) Liberalism Unleashed As we write the Democrats appear to have flipped the two Senate seats in Georgia – though there is still a glimmer of hope for Senator Perdue. While we at CTUP believe there was widespread voter fraud in the November elections, this one can’t be blamed on cheating. It appears that the new Democratic coalition of overwhelming command of the inner-city minority vote, wealthy white suburbanites, know-nothing millennials, and gazillions of dollars of political dollars from high tech has become, for now, a winning formula. These aren’t two moderate southern Democrats in the mold of long-time moderate Georgia Democratic Senator Sam Nunn. These Dems, Ossoff, and Warnock, ran as hard-core leftists – more government, free money, higher taxes, eat the rich. They are, to put a spin on Winston Churchill’s famous yarn: wolves in wolves clothing. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren will have new comrades. Alas, these results will only further embolden the left and it is a certainty that a torrent of disastrous policies are headed our way out of Washington. The anti-capitalism “Great Reset” is their North Star. The Biden-Pelosi-Schumer juggernaut is going to be like tanks streaming over the border. Of course, the tragedy is those who will be hurt the most by anti-growth and redistributionist policies are the very people who benefited the most from Trump policies: the poor, the working class, and minorities. We at CTUP, will continue to defend freedom and prosperity, and we intend to play defense like the 1985 Chicago Bears while we advance populist free-market alternatives. What else CAN we do? |
